Nice to see my old bike

At a pub bike night near Eastbourne great to meet up with the owner of my old RGS and to see it still being used. He also owns a lovely early Mini Cooper S that also gets used.

The oldest rocker in town!

Its far too shiney to be an old bike Jerry. Looked under mine Today and a huge clump of chain grease under the engine coming off the sprocket. Seems to fling off if i ride over 80 mph

Geoff I have owned many bikes but none of then stayed dirty very long. I will not own a dirty motorcycle and that goes back to my very first bike.

Yes, i like to keep mine very clean so if out in rain, it gets done as soon as it dries off. This cleaning started with my first bike. One bike i was commuting on every day was left a bit as there was no time. It was a Matchless G5 hand painted and a little bit rough all over. best part was it had an enclosed chain.

My first Goldie a DB32, I sold it 55 years ago, it done the rounds and it's now owned by a long time mate. It lives not far away, it's nice to know it's well looked after.

Can't be doing with these so called rat bikes.

My first 18 years of riding, when I only had one bike at a time and used it every day in all weathers, I never spent any time or energy on cosmetics and my bikes (aside from the moving parts which were always oily and adjusted) stayed pretty dirty.

My bikes now aren't show bikes, but when Fay suggests I clean them up some, I always look pitiful like I need help and she usually obliges.....
