Retirement Sale

A good friend is retiring and clearing a vast stock of mainly BSA & Triumph spares, some NOS, and a huge collection of 00 gauge/1-72 models, all very much at mate's rates.
Some Royal Enfield bits, too.
First dibs available before the mass market gets to see what's there.
Cash collection only in Bedfordshire but I'm sure we can assist.

Gold for some Bill. New old parts are sought after so he should do very well. Auto jumbles are still very popular especially those at Cheddar and Netley so trad buyer would buy a lot of it.

I dont use Facebook Bill but the link will be useful to those who do.
The Triumph and BSA spares are getting very hard to find genuine parts although the Harris made ones are pretty good. On another site, hepolite new parts seem to be very poor. I did buy some hepolite piston rings but they were miles too big and would need cutting of the rings so i re-used the old ones again.Recently bought an exhaust valve and it looks good so waiting to see how that wears compared to the other 3 old Triumph valves in the head. For the moment, i will give hepolite a miss for parts. Lucky i have accumulated quite a lot of old Triumph spares collected in the last 25 years.

I recognised the name but couldn’t remember where from. I have now found out. Years ago he was in business with another chap at RJM classics. The other chap dealt mainly with Triumphs and Ray concentrated on BSA’s. I took my 5TA to them to sort it out not realising the other chap was about to leave on health grounds. Ray did his best but try as he may he couldn’t get it to run. After some fair period of time and with mounting costs I had him deliver it back. A costly experience. I would not argue with you that he has since then restored many fine bikes to the road and won many awards at shows but I was unlucky to catch him at a time he was suddenly landed on his own to deal with the business.

You'd think any pro used to Triumphs would be able to sort a BSA out too.
Hardly too dissimilar.

Blimey, Mark left over 40 years ago!
It's always difficult to pick up where someone else has left off.
My B25 was "professionally" restored locally & never ran, I bought it as a project from the disappointed owner. I got it going, but it was so rough as to be unrideable. It's in the back of a shed until I can strip & rebuild it.
