Todays speed camera

On the Clyst St George dual carriageway parked on the grass central reservation. Just at the point where cars are speeding up to the 70 mph limit but that short piece is 40 mph. There is no danger at that area at all. Tomorrow, we have the modern traffic warden arriving about 7am in my road just in case someone was unable to find a parking spot. He drives here in a van every Sunday before anyone gets up to move. Motorists are being taken as an easy income . Maybe its to top up Angelas debt

Send him down here Geoff. We pay for residents parking in our street and often cannot find a spot because of illegal parking, with a large council car park behind us, and haven’t seen a warden in our town for months. Even then they visited our street only a couple of times a year.

This Morning at 7am, 3 cars with tickets parked on corners and yellow lines. One of those cars got a ticket 3 days ago so he must be rich. DVLA is also in town clamping untaxed cars. Its all a good thing they are chasing the offenders but the early Sunday morning is a bit harsh. I voted for residents parking but almost no one else did as there are typically 3 to 4 cars in most households. One sold up last week so 3 car spaces gained. he has bought a house with 4 parking spaces. Hard to believe people with multiple vehicles buy houses with no off street parking. I was chatting to one neighbour who has 4 cars parked up and asked him what his plans were when only EV cars are available. Something that had not entered his mind but i did tell him his house might be very hard to sell. I am lucky having the only garage in the road and i can have an EV if i had too. This morning at 7am on the main Exeter road,in a thunderstorm, i followed an EV car driving with no lights, wipers or turn signals trying to make his battery last.
