Thinkj it may be my best bike ever

Had a great ride today on my Yamaha XJR1300.Got me thinking about all the bikes I have owned and ridden and now convinced this is my best ever road bike I have ridden. It is just so powerful handles superb with fantastic brakes. I have owned it for many years and can't ever see me parting with it. Just hope I stay fit enough to still get the fun out of it for a few more years yet.

The oldest rocker in town!

Jerry, I think you will know when to stop riding when you go to get on the bike, and both of you fall over.

I would have bought one when new but went for the R111 as i wanted space for luggage touring. The Suzuki 1400 was not so popular. One of my mates has owned one since 2001 bought new. They still hold a good price

Jerry, Have you ever tried the closest modern Yamaha equivalent the MT10?
More power, lighter, better handling & brakes but admittedly might sacrifice some of the XJR's creamy torque, old school stability and comfortable upholstery in search of flighty lunacy!
MT10 is truly astonishing, and very reasonably priced compared to its rival 'super nakeds' from BMW, KTM, Ducati.

No I haven't Will but must admit lighter sounds good. Mine ok riding but getting in and out of the garage does require a bit of strength

I ride my 2 750lb bikes into the garage. Its up a small slope so not a chance of pushing it in. I can still push the old ones in though
