Last night there were no kids out ringing bells as they used to. Seems kids dont do it anymore since I - phones came along. Used to get a few fireworks let off but it was silent

Not sure if this is true but I was told that kids aren't allowed to knock on doors these days unless the home owners have put a pumpkin outside which gives them permission.

Don't knock on any door without a lit pumpkin outside it: this is just a normal stranger’s house, and if they answer, you’re not even allowed to talk to them, remember?

Used to get hoardes of kids roaming the streets around here years ago on Halloween, very quiet last night.

Talking "signs" and houses, when we moved into our bungalow it had a large Pampass grass growing in the front, used to get lots of visitors until I dug it out - why was that ?

Who needs a signature anyway......

I got so sick of the trick or treaters at Halloween that I turned the lights out and pretended I wasn't in. Fluck the ships. My lighthouse, my rules.

Our village had a group of houses decorated then food in the village hall but it was bucketing down all night
