Out at last

Managed a couple of hours out today after weeks of confined to barracks with this terrible weather. Lots of bikes out but a biting wind. One stop for bacon/ egg bun and a second for tea and cake before home. A celebratory malt later, I think.

I have just got back David nice ride got a bit wet but that's why I bought a winter hack and a nice Oxford products waterproof jacket and leggings. Testing them both out today as quite a bit of rain but lots of spray. Still enjoyed it and so far have managed to get out every January weekend. May a be bike cleaning day tomorrow.

Agreed! Managed a good long ride today and it didn't rain at all, but roads were awash & some flooded bits but not so bad you couldn't ride thru' them with care. Of course bike is absolutely filthy yet again but it lifted my spirits and was very definitely worth it.
