Actually all traces of BSA had been dead for 5 years, and NVT dead for a year and already starting to go "off" when this little Italian was marketed by the dude who had bought the BSA name.

Not quite as much of a sucker's scam as the Mahindra Bollywood star masquerading as David Niven, but it apparently didn't fool many people.

Not with Mahindra specifically; I'm sure they make fine cheap bikes for the subcontinental masses.

But pretending that they are BSAs? Like taking a cheap 1 liter Tata and slapping a Pierce-Arrow decal on it ....

not sure aboutPierce-Arrow decal on it ...

umm , but the soon to die, Mg rover group , tried (laughingly) to import a tata car from india , stick UK badges on it and call it. the city rover

some might say that the quality was far better than many home built group cars

I read somewhere the fun and games about the frames for Triumph and BSA both types were mostly buil wrongly for both bikes .
