Going out

Its sunny so i am getting the old bike out. Not used since boxing day so it might take 3 kicks to fire up. Be back soon

A great day for a ride. I'd forgotten what its like not to get the bike covered in wet slimy mud!

It is a lovely day out there - managed to wash and dry all the bedclothes today !!

Yesterday sunny, I was travelling, today sunny and I am working, tomorrow predicted sunny and I’m travelling, Friday predicted rain, Saturday predicted sunny and I have to go and see my sister-in-law. I see a pattern forming.

Needed a squirt of easy start then it went and settled into a tickover. 30 mile ride and the speed camera van had parked in the Country lane 30mph limit again on the common. No houses .pavements or walkers on that road but it was 30mph back a long time ago when cars had tiny crossply tyres and might have slid of the road on the bends. Now its just a money maker. 3 cars in front of me but all at 30 mph.
My rear plate is now covered as a plastic bag blew up and caught on the plate. Happens a lot on that bike now.

What i did see was a team with stop/go boards filling in potholes which had become very deep over the local common. It might hold up for better rides for a few Months.
The team is just driving along a 5 mile stretch doing a fairly good job.
