Weather is decent so decided to see if the H2 is a runner.

1st kick it fired, second kick she was away.

Sounded OK for a rattly old 2 stroke.

Just need DVLA to get there ass in gear and give me a Reg no.

Still love that rattle, that smell, and the feel of coming up on the pipe ....

Its hard to beat a CZ 175 for smoke screening but the Arrows were pretty stinky.

With modern oils 2t's they only tend to smoke when cold, or you wind it on.

Back in the day oil was not as good. I can remember as a teenager my KH 250 would leave behind a massive smoke screen, but everthing I have had that is 2T in recent years has been much less smokey.

I have used Mobil Extra 2T Semi Synth for years.

I used to use SAE30 in my 2 stroke SAAB and BP visco static 20/50 in my Lambretta, Vespa and CZs. Pipes clogged up a bit though

I was a bit poor when i bought the scooters. one was 25 quid and the 2 year old Vespa was 50 quid. I had to give up my car due to running costs so the scoots got me to work.
Little Vespa 90 was a great piece of slow transport though but the LI 150 series 1 could go at about 55 mph. In order to run them even cheaper, i was mixing petrol and paraffin but it did stink and smoke a lot

I have my old begging cap and still use it a bit when waiting outside shops. Seems i am not very wise at it now as i need a small skinny dog and a sheet of cardboard. Biggest problem is i just cannot sit cross legged any more and people stand on my feet as they walk by looking at their phones

When I worked in Shepherd’s Bush Post Office we had an old boy turn up most mornings, sit on the wall outside and put his hat on the wall beside him. He never once asked for money but passers by used to throw money into it. Around lunch time he would come in the office and we used to change it up into notes for him. He quite often earned more in one day than I got for a 40 hour week!

I worked all around the Paddington area from W2 to W14 on the Counter as a Postal and Telegraph Officer before transferring to North London and finally to Stevenage in Hertfordshire. The W1 area, Marble Arch, had its own area.
