Maybe be too hot for riding

I have a choice of a delivery in my van with the air con on or going for a ride this Sunday. Looks like it may be too hot for riding?

True, the forecast is for "warm" weather, but I shall probably be out and about.

I'll be sweltering on a disused airfield with the heat bouncing back off the runway while trying to teach people how not to drop their bikes doing u-turns, figure of 8s etc.

An "advanced riding" club I belong to is running a 300 mile ride tomorrow. Plus whatever miles to get to and home from the meeting point. That's a 360 mile day for me. I've not signed up for it. That's not a fun day, IMHO.

I did our groups long ride last Sunday. Glad it wasn't too hot - and for once it didn't rain in Wales

Just been for a short ride around the local lanes and a coffee stop. A lovely day for it as I have to drive to Dorset tomorrow for a memorial service and will definitely be travelling in an air conditioned car.

Same here Dave - I have not been back long from a bike night.

After a very warm day it is quite chilly and overcast here.

I have been tidying the garage and shed. Dumped a load of 8 foot long fluorescent tubes plus other sizes as no one uses them now

if you had chopped the 8ft tubes int half you might have got them in the boot of your car

8 foot tubes go in alright. I must try sawing an 8 foot tube ! There is a sign that states only 6 tubes can be taken there but i managed about 20 this time.

I had been planning riding across the country from Suffolk next Thursday for the ABR festival at Ragley Hall. Forecast temperatures for the afternoon of mid-to-late 30's has persuaded me to get up very early on the Friday and go then instead.
