Normally under a tenner brand new. I have an old one i can sell for the cost of a new one.
I have used these with the leather strap for many years on cars and they are very effective. The more modern filter removal kits fit over the flats on the filters now. My bike filter is round so a strap does the job

I used a Castrol Grand Prix can with one side cut out to catch oil at draining time.

Usually you can pic tools up for little money at car boot sales, no call for them now as diy car maintainace is a dying thing. On that Money for Nothing programme recently a guy was throwing away a load of good quality imperial ring spanners at the tip. JJ Chalmers rescued them and was going to get the re purposed as some form of artistic metal structure by the resident blacksmith guy. What a waste.
