I have owned the van I have now for around four years. Never thought about getting a puncture which I should have. Yesterday I did the tyre pressures as I do around every couple of weeks. Think I may have a very slow leak in one of the rear wheels so decided at last to check the spare which lives under the rear of the van. After laying in the boiling sun for about 15 minutes I could not see how to get it out. So had to refer to the hand book. Bloody hell they couldn't have made it anymore difficult to get out. won't go into detail but lets say 30 minutes later I achieved it. Hate to think what would have happened if I had been stranded at the roadside, think it may have been a AA call out job. When I say awful design all I can tell you is its help in by a cable and if that snapped it would be an accident waiting to happen. I blame the French.
