Some insurers are age limited. If you stay with one company, they may keep you in but there may be insurers that will turn you down at a set age. Davids age is becoming higher risk so i would also just take up the offer.
I have found my travel insurance, once i got to 70, more than doubled and about 1400 pounds for 2 Worldwide with a couple of medical problems.
My bike insurance used to be unlimited mileage and was going up steadily each year so i restricted it to what i actually do.
I anticipate i will pay around 120 next year for 3 bikes comprehensive locked in a fortress overnight and never left outside in the road.
Carole Nash might be worth a punt just to compare but these days they are asking if you carry pillions. I dont carry pillions now but i still have pillion cover just in case a Grandchild wants a ride

I asked NFU for a house insurance quote (a Which recomended supplier). They quoted over £1000, (my current renewal is £380), the woman at NFU was very oppologetic that they could not match my current providor. Looks like it was a polite way of saying we dont want your business. All a bit odd as my house is not in a risk area ie on a flood plain or subsidance area. But it is within 30 miles of USAF Lakenheath. So maybe at risk in an attack on the base by Putin.

I am with AA for breakdown, a policy that covers me for whatever car I am driving whether it belongs to me or not, bikes are also covered by the same policy.

Never had to use it so don't know how good it is, think it was around the 60 quid mark.

Didn't think RAC covers bikes or any car you are driving. Maybe I'm wrong?
