screwed over by the yanks

Posted by the old one User icon on September 2, 2026, 10:02 am

I made the mistake of buying from amazon , it was a £350 item
amazon were actually the cheapest and offered me next day tracked delivry for about £2.99

the item was no good , so I excersised my right to return within 28 days
they insisted that I wait in for FEDEX to collect (I boxed it , they stuck label on it) this was (I think) monday

I watched fedex make 3 attempted deliveries , tue wed and thus , then change things to say it was delivered to "goods in" at 4.pm on tuesday ???

waited , then when on holiday spotted on amazon " we cant process your return , ring us (it actually shows item recieved)
multiple calls over last few days , they keep saying it will take 14 days , there AI robot , rufus , told the truth , "we have not recieved it yet"

got to stage now where I have to submit a form , with all the info they alreadh have ,,by dec

after I returned the form , , a email saying we will refund when we get it back

feel like a kipper done over by two lots of yanks
paid by debit card , spoke to bank , they cant help

not sure what I can do , all call centres just spout and tell lies , £350 down the swanny

would I recommend amazon or UPS , NO NO No

Ain't I bin tellin' you?

Haven't I said over and over again that Amazon is a giant charade?

Don't you remember the pictures during the Covid hysteria of Jeff Bezos (Owner) laying back on his yacht being served drinks and caviar by his house slaves, all required to wear their underwear on their head, while he wears no such thing, being a privileged billionaire laughing at the hoi polloi?

Now he's laughing at YOU! He's no Yank, he's a New World Order globalist overlord, and now YOU'VE been bitten.

Drop ALL those guys and their Chinese masters. You'll feel better for it ....

I think that the obvious premeditated flooding of the UK market with Chinese cars, nary a single tv commercial until several appeared at once, is more of a worry.
Why cannot people see further than the cheapness? Our longterm security seems doomed.
Reminds me of the spoof Lottie and Hans Hass skit draining the oceans with an enormous bath plug. Somewhere there is a Chinese on/off switch.

I sense a bit of British sarcasm there, but keep in mind that YOU'RE the one getting screwed over ... !

It's the same in all walks of life with the mantra "it must be OK everyone does it" & then many of those who genuinely care give up fighting back.
My Dad always said never to buy cheap tools, but always added that cheap is about more than price.
I've just been offered a really useful piece of software to trial in my business, really useful, but...
the contract allows them to harvest all sorts of "usage patterns & subsequent locations".
This means that in exchange for free use of a tool (actually to make it work there's a few quid to spend, so it's a cheap tool) that will be beneficial, I will be providing a front and a back and a side door to everything I and my contacts would do!
My Dad was right.

Nothing on the internet is free.
If it is YOU are the product.

The devils spawn has many bugs,I for one put as little personal info as possible on it,but am well aware my info is always harvested somewhere.
