Out for a ride

Posted by geoff the bonnie User icon on September 18, 2026, 1:56 pm

Usual 30 miler. heading for Budliegh and the Town closed due to a road accident. Very common in the Town of ancient drivers and pedestrians.
Nice dull day so no squinting to see forward. Came home and 5 Premium bond cheques had arrived so i have another 350 pounds to buy petrol with.

I thought I’d missed out this month only to find out when I checked my bank account that £200 had been paid in. Checked my email again and for some unknown reason the notifications had gone into my junk mail!

Premium bonds are good fun but never won bigger than 500 pounds in one cheque. It does provide around 2000 pounds on a good year but down a bit this year so far with 3 Month no wins. I have had a load since 2010 when i put my pension lump sum into it.
Might become a Millionaire Rodney said Dellboy😁

Strange they sent me an email saying they were increasing the prize money and for the next 2/3 months I didn’t get a tickle. Probably why the system decided it was junk mail.

My income from premium bonds this year has been abysmal. Probably no more than a couple of hundred quid despite having the maximum invested.

Perhaps they are storing up my wins for Christmas - there you I have said the "C" word, mind you the shops have beaten me to it.

Who needs a signature anyway......
