I just wanted you to know that between this afternoon and this evening I will be releasing roster updates with games played for each team. I will be releasing them by Division so you can check anyone in your division.
Before I do that though, there are some loose ends to tie up from last week....
1. Teams are starting to get a little lazy. No one in specific, but just the group in general. I'm starting to get emails with just first names (we need last names). I'm getting emails with just your team's lineup and not your opponent's (can't cross-reference) and I'm getting emails with different lineups and have to chase down the discrepancies.
Please try to tighten that up moving forward as we are getting into the second half of the season now and everyone should be up to speed.
It's also important to be more accurate now because once teams see where they are with games played is when the temptation is created to try and fudge lineups. So please be certain to get all substitutions and try to send the lineups as written in the book. That makes it easier too.
(By the way, the photos are working out great. If you want to keep doing that, it's absolutely fine).
To those of you who have been doing it right, thanks. It really makes this easier to accomplish.
2. Nobody can switch teams after having played for someone else. We've had several requests to do that in the past week or so. Can't be done. Sorry. Either finish the season for the team you played or sit it out until the Fall. Of course, you can still play for another team in open-roster tournaments as well as ASA advanced play tournaments like districts and states as a pick-up player assuming the team you played for DOES NOT also go to that event.
3. The following teams did not receive credit for their games played this week:
Primo's Food Service (late)
Mudsharks (no lineup)
Tri-State Liquors (late)
Jimmy Mac's Wolfpack (late)
Also, in the Capital Division, although games were played beween 60 East/Tailgator's Red and Cocco's Pizzeria and Pub, we found out Cocco's borrowed players to have enough to play.
By rule, that is a forfeit.
They lost both games anyway, so it doesn't change the standings, however it does affect game credit.
Even though Cocco's got their lineup in on time, they will not be credited with any games played because of the forfeit.
Also, Everyone on the Tailgator's roster, including those not in attendance, get credit for two games played.
