Beginning in 2014, the Millennium Sunday Softball League is set to become an ASA of PA Class "E" league only.
The reason for the change in classification is necessitated because of the need to have a more efficient playoff format that doesn't have to be staggered because of the leagues "D" and "E" teams who participate in ASA of PA Advance Play on the same weekends the league's playoffs are scheduled.
It wasn't that long ago that there wasn't as much of an issue with league playoff scheduling because there wasn't an ASA of PA Class "E" division of play.
The highly successful Millennium Sunday Softball League is the largest Men's Slow Pitch in the state of Pennsylvania with a record 62 teams participating.
At one point last year the league had 16 teams on the waiting list and was able to accommodate over half of them into the league.
With the newly created openings in the league because of the classification change, the teams on the current waiting list have just moved up.
