The ASA of PA Hall of Fame Awards Banquet that was held last Saturday at the Holiday Inn Harrisburg-Hershey Hotel in Grantville had one of our own from District 6 inducted in the HOF and also had the following recipients receive recognition awards.
Congratulations to all of them!

Sam Riccardo from District 6 (Chester County) - 2014 ASA of PA Hall of Fame inductee.
This is what the Daily Local News had to say about Sam Riccardo when it was announced he would be inducted into the 2014 Chester County Sports Hall of Fame in November of last year.
"Riccardo is unquestionably the greatest softball pitcher ever produced in Chester County. He amassed a staggering number of strikeouts, many no hitters and several perfect games during his lengthy career that lasted from 1944-85."

Delaware County Daily Times - 2014 ASA of PA Sportswriter/Media Award Recipient
When it comes to presenting the media award, the Delaware County Daily Times could easily be recognized every year.
In fact, this was the 12th time in the last fourteen years that the newspaper has received the award, breaking their own number of wins.
No outlet in the state of Pennsylvania devotes more time and energy to the coverage of amateur softball.
