Daily Times: Millennium Sunday Roundup - Hits keep coming as Sawloon, J.D. McGillicuddy's split
Fall is in the air. At least it was Sunday in the Millennium Softball League.
On a crisp, clear afternoon, the time was right for hitting. So the sawed-off sluggers of the Sawloon did just that, to the tune of 34-20 over the Brookline version of J.D. McGillicuddy's.
In that game, Dan Cetroni and Justin Nicholas had five hits each and Scott Horton had four as Sawloon saw to it with 13 runs in the first inning. Then McGillicuddy's fought back with a late field goal to take a 13-10 victory over Sawloon.
Actually, Chris Hoffman hit a home run for three points.
