On behalf of District 6 and the OAKS Umpire Association I want to thank everyone for helping to make the SE Area Umpire Clinic another huge success on Sunday 3/13/16. The dedication of the officials who took time out of their weekend, especially to arrive on time when Daylight Savings Time took effect shows the commitment to the game of softball. Without each of you all of the planning would not have mattered. Luau Bowers, Brian Sonak and Dave Kolojejchick again provided excellent instructions, video and demonstrations and some humor. Luau loves teaching umpires and it shows in his work. A special thanks goes to my daughter Kelly Hainsey for helping with registration. The I.A.C.L. for providing us with a great venue and to Robyn Scarlett of Robyn's Nest Catering who provided the meal. The Garden Hilton Inn who housed the clinicians in great accommodations.
