2016 Millennium Sunday Softball League
Proposal up for Vote
At our previous league meeting the 2016 National ASA courtesy runner rule was discussed.
As stated at our meeting we were going to wait to make a decision on this rule change based on how the ASA of PA voted on it at their annual meeting in Hershey.
Well the ASA of PA voted to follow the National ASA courtesy runner rule for advanced play.
That being said we wanted to bring this proposal to the teams for a vote. Each team will receive one vote.

Current League Rule:
Each team is given 2 courtesy runners per game. The courtesy runner must be the last recorded out.
New league Rule:
Each team will be allowed to use one courtesy runner per inning. The courtesy runner can be anyone on the team roster, either in the game or on the bench.
The following is also included in this rule:
1. Being a courtesy runner does not count as a game played when calculating playoff and advanced play eligibility.
Note: A player is credited with a game played by either batting at least one time in a game or playing 3 outs/half inning in the field.
2. If you are in the line-up and you are used as a courtesy runner and if your turn in the batting order comes up while you are on base then you will be declared out on the base you were occupying.
Note: If the above occurs with the courtesy runner and there are less than two outs the courtesy runner (and only the courtesy runner) will continue to take his turn in the batting order.
VOTE:
_______ For One Courtesy Runner Per Inning (New Rule Change)
_______ Against One Courtesy Runner Per Inning (Keep Current League Rule)
