As the summer season comes to a close and teams prepare for the various charity tournaments in West Chester and the Hook I wanted to take a moment and thank all of the teams in District 6 and the Furey League for all of the support and for a great season. I am looking forward to an exciting Fall season with even greater things to come for softball in District 6.
Officially I am annoucing the combination of two great leagues in our area to form one for the upcoming weeknight fall season and many seasons moving forward. This league will be a duel sanctioned league. This will be a league that gives teams the ability to keep softball traditions alive and at the same time something that I have hoped would come to fruition for years, a place for everyone to have fun and become eligible for Advanced play, while saving a little money for teams who played for both sanctions. This also gives those COED teams from our area the ability now to compete in state tournaments for the 2017 season.
I have had a few teams reach out to me with regard to the fall season and the availability of spots. I am trying to get a formal head count of those teams. I will not post team names here as of yet, but I wanted to send out this message to ask those teams and anyone else if they are interested to contact me for Men's or Steve Prescott for COED as soon as possible.
Welcome everyone to the ASA/SNA Mens Slowpitch Hook/Furey League and the ASA/SNA Coed Slowpitch Hook/Furey League.
We have spots for a total of 16 teams in the Men's league and 8 spots in the COED league. By current count we are at about 12 teams already for men's and 6 for COED, so if you are interested you must move fast.
Next league meeting is August 28th @ 1pm at Key's. Where a league deposit of $400 is due per team.
More information to follow soon.
Thanks
