All bats being used in the 2016 ASA Charity Challenge Championship will be tested before use.
Bats will be tested via Amatuer Softball Association recommended bat compression testing equipment.
Bat testers will be available prior to everyone's first game at the Herb Pennock Park Softball Complex in Kennett Square and the West Chester Area Sports Association Complex.
Bats will only be allowed for use in the tournament if they have BOTH the ASA Certification stamp and the tournament's security sticker.
Kennett Square tournament director Kevin Garris from the District 6 staff and Jim Toy from Bats Plus, who will be doing the bat testing at West Chester, will not be responsible for any questions raised concerning the approval results, but will attempt to provide information about the guidelines.

ASA Governing Body recommended equipment is being utilized to improve the safety of all participants and spectators.
No non-approved bats are to be considered as altered in any way, but merely as equipment that does not meet the ASA bat standards.
Any bat failing at any part of the testing will be deemed not allowable for play in the tournament.
Teams should plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to their first game to have their bats tested.
