Tournament Rules and Regulations
1) When the batter is discovered using an ASA non-approved bat, the batter will be called out.
To be approved for play in the tournament, a bat must:
a. Have an ASA 2000, ASA 2004 or ASA 2013 certification mark.
b. NOT appear on the ASA non-approved bat list (even though it might have a certification mark).
c. Male players must used single wall bats. Note: The Demarini White Steel will be allowed in the tournament.
d. Female players may use any ASA approved bat.

2) The batting line-up must always alternate Male-Female.

3) Teams may bat up to 12 players (6 Male-6 Female) in their line-up and the ASA Extra Player Rule will apply.

4) 2016 ASA Courtesy Runner Rule will be used. A courtesy runner must be the same gender as the player being replaced.
(Handicap runner is allowed Male and Female if agreed upon prior to the game)

5) DEFENSIVE POSITIONING: Players must be positioned by gender in the following manner: Outfield: 2 Males/ 2 Females - Infield: 2 Males/ 2 Females - Pitcher/Catcher: 1 Male/ 1 Female or 1 Female/1 Male.

6) A Male can only slide "HEAD" first into a female covering a base.

7) Home plate is a "FORCE PLAY ONLY" for safety. Runners will run to the outside of the plate and will be called out if they touch home plate.

8) NO RETURN LINE: will be drawn approximately half-way between third base and home plate and if the runner passes this line he/she can no longer return to third and a force play at home plate now comes into play.

9) SCORING LINE: will be drawn from the tip of home plate back to a point that the umpire is comfortable with as calling a runner safe or out.

10) A runner can never slide into home plate and if they do will be called out immediately.

11) The catcher can only get someone out by forcing them out by touching the plate. After the runner has passed the "NO RETURN LINE" he/she can no longer be tug out only forced out at the plate.

12) Tie-breakers are as follows: (1.) Head to head competition, (2.) Run differential, (3.) Most runs scored.
After breaking a 3-team tie in a bracket using the above tie-breakers, the 2 remaining teams will revert back to the same tie-breaking rules.

13) The home team must keep score and will be the official book.

14) Any team that wins a game by forfeit will be credited with the score of 7-0.

15) No drinking on ANY field (automatic team ejection).

16) Clean up your trash.

17) Report scores at the end of the game to the tournament director.

18) Report to your game at the scheduled time, NO EXCEPTIONS.

19) Only allowed to play for ONE team during the entire tournament.

20) Any rules and regulations not listed will be governed by the ASA Rule Book.
