This past Monday I was down at Furey Road to check-in on a Coed playoff game that was occurring at night. Over the past couple of weeks this field has been used both at night and on Sundays.
At no time should any alcoholic containers be placed in the trash cans down by the field.
These fields are also used by youth teams during the week and on the weekends, and I can vouch that there are no parents sitting at their 10 year olds softball game drinking on the field.
Monday night all of the trash cans surrounding the Field were overflowing with beer bottles/cans. This was never an issue this past summer. Most of the teams that play down there did this past summer, or have at least one person on their team that did, and all know the rules.
I realize the leagues that use these fields for games are coming to an end, but this is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
My name is on the permit for weeknights and Joe's name is on the permit for weekends. If we lose these permits because of this careless behavior it will trickle down to the teams that have played at these fields.
Respectfully,
