Daily Times: Millennium Sunday Roundup - Mr. Fats goes deep, walks in style
The day was dragging when Rob Fatscher stepped to the plate in the bottom of the eighth inning in Game 2 of Stephen's on State's Millennium Sunday League A/B Division crossover doubleheader with Shanko Landscaping.
Hoping to just end the damn thing, Fatscher swung hard and hit the ball far into the outfield gap. He barely made it to first base when Billy DiPaulo trotted on home with the winning run to give the State boys a 12-11 victory in walkoff style.
Bobby Jones belted a grand slam, had five RBIs and was the winning pitcher.
Fatscher also made his mark in Game 1, collecting four hits to lead an 18-14 win for State. Dave Pizzica had a pair of hits and five ribbies, while Dan Ryan churned out two hits and four RBIs.

Game 2 saw the Undertakers rise from the grave. Trailing by three in the sixth inning, they rallied to score six runs as Dennis Dougherty went 3-for-4 with a homer. Steve LeViere was the winning pitcher of both games.

J.D. McGillicuddy's Kirklyn Ducks 17-19, Action Auto/B.D.A. BallBusters 5-4 >> Pat Lanni somehow managed to reach base via the walk on five separate occasions, enough to make you wonder if the Busters' pitcher(s) was throwing with the wrong hand. Lanni also cranked a three-run bomb.

R.P. McMurphy's Bar & Grille 8-15, Stinger's Restaurant and Bar 7-13 >> R.P.'s made a pair of thrilling comebacks in the seventh inning thanks to clutch hitting from the talentless mush clogging the bottom of the lineup. Wait ... it turns out those guys can swing a little.
