Daily Times: Millennium Sunday Roundup for May 7th
It took the Galle Electric Bombers a little while to get their offense in gear Sunday. Once they did, though, they lived up to their handle.
The Bombers scored 14 unanswered runs in the last three innings in the opener and carried that into the nightcap to complete a 17-9 and 15-0 sweep of McSorley's Pub.
Scott Abdo slugged a three-run homer and Todd Abbott also went deep while going 4-for-4 to help the Bombers rally from a 9-3 deficit in the fifth inning of game one. Newcomer Lou Pagnoni and Phil Heness led the way as the Bombers jumped out to a 9-0 lead after two innings in Game 2 and never looked back.

All-State All-Stars 14-12, Hunt's Annex Lounge 4-2 >> Don't knock the guys in the bottom of the order. They can hit, too, as Ryan Stewart and Josh Perri proved.
Stewart and Perri combined for 10 hits and seven RBI in the doubleheader, while Paul LaBruna drove in six runs on three hits in the afterpiece.

R.P. McMurphy's Bar & Grille 9-3, Gramlick Construction 6-13 >> Chris Stankiewicz saved the day as R.P. rallied in the seventh inning of Game 1.
Jay Gramlick drove in five runs and scored once while going 3-for-3 to help the team he sponsors team earn a split. Timmy Fallon (3-for-4) and Charlie Callahan (2-for-3) scored two runs and drove in one run each.

J.D. McGillicuddy's Brookline 23-3, Rothman Institute 20-15 >> Jeff Wahner went 4-for-4, and Brand Hermansen, Nick Tokonitz and Chris Owens went 3-for-4 with at least two ribbies to power 'Cuddy's in the opener.
Chris Kloepfer celebrated the birth of his son, Lincoln Neal, by going 2-for-4 with six RBI in the nightcap. John Roberts, hitting for the majority, was 3-for-3 with four RBI and three runs scored.

Manoa Post 15-12, Marty Magee's Knights 5-6 >> Jim Cherry clubbed a homer, and Don Lauro and Kevin Klienberg both went 3-for-3 as the bottom of the order went 11-for-14 in the nightcap to complete the sweep. Ron and Brian McGuire both went deep in Game 1.

Upland A.C. 18-12, The Stretch 7-9 >> Anthony Yanuzzi went 3-for-3 and knocked in a pair of runs in each game. Zac Cunningham, Nick Corliss and Charlies Short went 4-for-4 in the opener and combined for 12 RBI. Glenn Stannon and Steph McGinnis were 3-for-3 with two RBI each in the nightcap.

Barnaby's Ridley/Moran Electric 28-16, Elliot's Vending/Ram's Tavern Undertakers 18-1 >> Bob Driscoll and Bill Marcone both had five hits, four RBI and four runs scored as Barnaby's/Moran beat the team with the longest name in softball. Andrew Whalen (six hits, five RBI, four runs scored) and Mark Medzie (six hits, six runs scored, three RBI) also were major contributors.

Duffer's Pub 11, Ram's Head Tavern 9 >> Kyle Geisinger's two-run homer in the top of the eighth inning broke a 9-all deadlock and Duffer's held on in the bottom of the frame to get the win. Don Ott was 3-for-4 with four RBI. No details were reported on Game 2.

Stephen's on State 9-3, Miller's Ale House/Jubilee Catering HH 8-18 >> Mike Ianieri's laced a homer in the fifth inning of Game 2 to bring the 15-run run into play and give Miller's a split. Antony DiTomo was 3-for-3 with four RBI. No details were reported on Game 1.
