An anonymous benefactor has more than stepped up to the plate and will make the most generous donation ever by an individual in Delaware County softball by agreeing to pay for the entry fee of the first 10 teams who enter The Memorial Day Weekend 'Brian Runge' Charity Softball Tournament.
All the benefactor asks for this incredible gesture, is that the players who participate in this tournament, which is being played to help with the final expenses of Brian Runge who passed away unexpectedly earlier this week, is to make a donation at the tournament site to tournament director Larry McFadden.
Brian Runge's family includes long standing softball players Bruce and Barry Runge who sincerely express their gratitude to the benefactor and to all the players who will help in raising proceeds from the tournament.
Please help make a difference by entering your team in the tournament and making a donation.
For Millennium Sunday teams the tournament offers an opportunity to stay sharp during an off-week in the schedule and for the teams who will be playing in the USA of PA District 6 Class "E" Championship the following Saturday in Kennett Square, the tournament would be the perfect tune-up.
Brian Runge you are in our thoughts and prayers and our most heartfelt condolences go out to your family.
