Daily Times: Millennium Sunday Roundup - Vogelman's first HR carries Stanley Kup to win
Blaise Vogelman will always remember his first time.
The Stanley Kup Inn player crushed his first career home run, helping his squad to a pair of 18-3 victories over the Woodland Warriors in Millennium League action Sunday.
Stanley Kup moves into sole possession of first place in the E Division.
Brian Murphy had a big day, finishing the DH with six hits, a dinger and a six runs scored.

Shanko Landscaping 15-12, Cocco's Pizzeria & Pub of Aston 5-9 >> Joe Busch paced Shanko in Game 1 with three hits, four ribbies and two runs scored. Sean Wyatt, Jack Diggory and Colby Schreiber each had two hits and two runs scored. Doug Schreiber and Nick Palagruto both hammered solo jacks.
Wyatt homered in the nightcap and scored twice. Busch added three hits and two runs scored, while Nick Opdenaker contributed two hits and a pair of runs scored. Bruce Shanko pitched both wins.

Upland A.C. 17-20, Ram's Head Tavern 16-19 >> You won't see a more exciting slow-pitch softball doubleheader.
In the opener, Upland rallied from three runs down in the seventh to pull out the victory. Tony Dimaio knocked in the winning run. Glen Stannon, Rob Stinson and Kevin Potter all went 4-for-4.
Game 2 featured a crazier comeback by Upland, which trailed by 15 runs in the fifth inning, cut the lead to two, then tied it in the seventh. In the eighth, Potter ripped a base hit to give Upland the win.
Anthony Yannuzzi was 5-for-5 with a homer and four RBIs, while Zac Cunningham, Shawn Nagy and Cody D'Amicos all went 4-for-4 in the nightcap.

Rothman Institute 11-12, Hunt's Raiders 9-11 >> Dan Renn belted a three-run homer and slammed a two-run double to power Rothman in Game 1. Todd Becker set the table, going 3-for-4 with three ribbies and three runs scored.
Becker did more of the same in Game 2, finishing 3-for-3 with a double, three RBIs and two runs scored. Pat Dix led the comeback with a bases-loaded triple and also nailed a runner out at the plate. Dix finished 3-for-3 with a double, triple, four ribbies and three runs scored.
Rob Dix was the winning pitcher of both contests.

J.D. McGillicuddy's Brookline 9-5, Manoa Post 8-8 >> Eddie Kapusta's sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh propelled McGillicuddy's to victory in the opener. Frankie Magee earned the win from the mound.

Pogue Mahone's Pub 20-13, Stephen's on State 19-14 >> Dave Yarnell delivered the game-winning single in the eighth inning, scoring Jon Poole, who went 5-for-5. Tom Behmke also was 5-for-5 with five runs scored, Mike Malkoun went 4-for-5, and Nick Hall and Dave Bush both homered for Mahone's.
In Game 2, Mark Bruno had the walkoff hit in the bottom of the seventh for Stephen's, who erased a five-run deficit. Anthony SanFilippo Sr. and his son, Anthony Jr., combined for 13 hits in the doubleheader. Dad allegedly hit two triples, and junior added a double and an RBI.
Dan Ryan clubbed four doubles and a triple to go with eight RBIs for Stephen's.

Barnaby's Ridley/Moran Electric 14-16, Haggerty's Cafe II 17-15 >> Barnaby’s/Moran Electric scored five runs in the bottom of the seventh for the win in Game 2. Brian Bellocchio was 4-for-4 with three RBIs and also had four knocks in the opener.

Premier Orthopedics 12-10, Clifton Mayhem 5-9 >> Dan and Mike McGuire fueled Premier offense in the first inning, when the team plated seven runs. Nadav Shaposhnick was stellar from the mound.
In Game 2, Rob Frick smacked the walkoff single in the bottom of the eighth as Premier picked up the sweep.

Miller's Ale House/Jubilee Catering HH 14, Penn Valley Assassins 13 >> Domenic D'Angelo pitched the seventh inning, then stepped up in the bottom of the frame to deliver the game-winning hit as the Heavy Hitters overcame a seven-run deficit. Mike Ianieri roped the game-tying double, scoring Chris Carlin, and Nick Repici went 3-for-3 with a pair of two-baggers.

All-State All-Stars 13, J.D. McGillicuddy's of Tinicum 7 >> The bottom of the lineup carried the All-Stars in the second game of a doubleheader. Ryan Stewart (two RBIs) and Josh Perri (three RBIs) both went 3-for-3 with two runs scored. Nick Loggia was the winning pitcher.
