Here's a reminder that teams who registered for the 2017 Millennium Sunday Fall Softball League need to bring a minimal of $200 towards their $600 total league fee at 1st league meeting in order to remain in league - THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS.
Earlier today I received a phone call from a team in the league whose coach said they wouldn't be able to attend the meeting and most likely wouldn't be able to get the $200 deposit from their sponsor by the meeting date of Thursday, August 3rd.
I told the coach unfortunately if that is the case then I will have to withdraw his team from the league.
I will have no problem of dropping the league from 40 teams to 32-36 teams in the blink of an eye.
I have been the commissioner of many softball leagues over the last 35 years and the time has come that teams need to realize that they need a deposit of league fees when asked for or they will not remain in the league.
I think I can speak for other league commissioners who have to go through the same thing every season.
I have three teams on the waiting list that have their full league fees ready to go and are hoping with anticipation they may still be able to join the league.
So please don't be one of the teams that loses their place in the league because you couldn't attend the 1st league meeting or get a teammate to go in your place with the $200 deposit.

The 2017 Millennium Sunday Fall Softball League will hold its first league meeting on Thursday, August 3rd - 7:00 p.m. at Barnaby's of Ridley.
All teams MUST be represented in order to assure their place in the league and be prepared to pay a $200 deposit towards their league fees.
Teams now have two weeks from today to get the minimal $200 needed at this meeting for league fees.
If you don't have the $200 deposit - then don't come to the meeting and your team will be replaced in the league - NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.
Note: All teams need to email me (no phone calls) at millpres2000@verizon.net by Sunday, July 30th - that they have seen this post and will be attending the meeting.
Because there are teams on the waiting list, there will be no exceptions to the above or your team will lose their place in the league.
The league will begin play on Sunday, September 10th.
Some of the items on the agenda for this meeting will be the discussion of the Playoff Format & Eligibility and the 2017 Rules and Regulations.
Also, the following USA Softball materials will be handed out to all teams.
1. Rulebooks
2. Scorebooks
Note: Softballs for the regular season will be given out at the final league meeting.
