The Millennium Sunday Fall "C" Division Championship Series between (#2) Burgundy Lounge Punishers and (#1) Brick & Brew Bandits (1st Base Side) has been moved to Westgate Hills Park in Havertown.
The reason Brick & Brew is not able to play on their home field at Lynnewood Elementary School in Havertown is because of a soccer tournament.
Haverford Township then made Westgate Hills Park available to the team to play the championship series.
I looked at the field yesterday and consider it one of the better fields for softball in Delaware County especially the infield ... a hidden gem.
The only drawback was finding the field and parking on the residential street (Windsor Park Lane) and then a short walk on a drive between two homes (1423 and 1427 Windsor Park Lane) which leads directly onto the field.
I recommend players on both teams drive to the field this week and communicate to your players what I have mentioned above about finding the field entrance.
Here's the closest address to use to park near the entrance to the field.
Westgate Hills Park
1423 Windsor Park Lane
Havertown, PA 19083
Coming from the Lawrence Road or #476 (Blue Route - North) make a right onto West Chester Pike Route #3 where you'll pass Barnaby's of Havertown after that turn right onto the first street - Glen Gary Drive until it runs into Windsor Park Lane and make a left where you will park along the street near 1423 and 1427 Windsor Park Lane.
