A 13-run sixth inning was more than enough for UTC Union in the first half of a Millennium Sunday League doubleheader sweep of the J.D. McGillicuddy's Kirklyn Ducks Sunday.
Mike Simone and Scott Davis had four hits in the opener, a 19-2 victory, with Davis driving in four runs. Josh Chandley went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBIs.
In the nightcap, Davis had two hits and drove in two runs for a 6-2 win. Danny Gleim doubled, had two hits, a run scored and an RBI.

Gramlick Construction 2-9, Hunt's HH 18-8 >> Gramlick recovered from the opening game thumping thanks to Timmy Fallon's RBI single in the eighth inning to drive in Brad Buonadonna. Bobby Kelly was 3-for-4 and drove in a pair of runs, as did Bill Leighton Sr. (2-for-2).
Mark Albertson went 3-for-3 with a homer and two doubles for Triple-H in the opener. Dan Crowley Jr. and Sr. each went 3-for-3 to back winning pitcher Domenic D'Angelo, who drove in a pair of runs.

Marty Magee's Knights 16-13, J.D. McGillicuddy's Brookline 1-16 >> Mike Labuski shut down the McGillicuddy's bats in the opener to get the win. Joe Faragalli went 3-for-3 with a homer and three RBIs. Anthony DiGalbo jacked a homer among his two hits to drive in three, as did Anthony Astolf. Jim Calabrese was 3-for-3 with three runs scored, and Mark Despeaux had two hits and two RBIs for the Knights.
McGillicuddy's recovered in Game 2, in part thanks to a different Magee – winning pitcher Frankie. Bill Masterson and Vinny Vassallo each went 3-for-3 with two runs scored and two runs driven in. Craig Hermansen and Mike Melazzo added three hits each.

Brian Dunphy Jr.'s two home runs and five RBIs made sure Game 2 wasn't quite so close. Mike Sage added a homer and four RBIs in the nightcap.
