Daily Times: Millennium Sunday Roundup: Not a Stretch to say Shaw seals a Quality win
Matt Shaw's home run capped a 4-for-5 day and gave Quality Roofing Supply a two games to one series win over The Stretch Inn in a Millennium Sunday Softball League C Division quarterfinals series.
Quality won Game 1, 18-13, behind John Valent and Jeff Anderson, who both collected three hits and three runs.
But the Stretch, which is actually in Springfield even if it looks like it's in Swarthmore, rallied for a 14-3 decision in Game 2. The rubber match was a 23-13 Quality win sealed by Shaw.
Ryan Holmes went 3-for-3 with three runs scored.
