Every year the committee opens its ears to see what players think that would bring more teams or raise more money. For yrs we were hearing mon night is hard for people to get to. Now that we opened it up to other areas we understand. So starting this year we are going to change it up. 1st things 1st. The men's division will now be fri to Sunday with the championship game being played sun night. The final 2 teams will get a half our break while we set up everything for the championship. So games now will be played fri thru sun. We will play coed wed thurs and mon night.
#2 this homerun derby thing has my phone ringing off the hook. So what we're going to do is take the 1st 20 bombers that contact me. The entry fee into the derby will be $30 dollars. 25 of it will go to the American cancer society the winner with 20 hitters will take home a trophy and 100 bucks. Each player will get 10 swings. Then the 4 players with the most will get 10 more swing. The final 2 will go head to head. We will start the derby at 6pm you will need to bring your own pitcher as well. Balls will be provided. The coed championship will start at 8 pm primetime. If we dont get 20 players we will accept a minimum of 16 to have the derby. We can't take anymore than 20 so its 1st come 1st serve.
