Daily Times: Millennium Sunday Playoff Roundup: Marty McGee's rallies to claim D Division title
Down five runs in the decisive Game 3 of the Millennium Sunday League D Division final, the Marty Magee's Knights remained undaunted.
The Knights rallied for nine runs in the bottom of the sixth to take a 14-10 win in Game 3 of the final and claim the title.
Marty Magee's opened with a 12-11 win in Game 1. Christian DiGalbo (5-for-5, 4 RBIs) contributed an RBI double after Anthony Astolf's double in the sixth, and Jim Calabrese and Jeremy Schwartz followed with singles. After Casey's Ridley Park Peacocks tied it in the top of the seventh, Christian DiGalbo plated brother Collin (3 hits, 3 runs) with a walk-off single. Astolf added three hits and three runs scored. Danny Leicht homered.
The Peacocks rebounded with a 10-6 win in Game 2 to set up the rubber match.
Christian DiGalbo went 4-for-4 with four RBIs in the nightcap. Calabrese added three hits and three runs, Schwartz was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and Astolf added two hits, two runs and two RBIs behind the rubber-armed Mike Labuski, who tossed three complete games.

In the B Division championship:
Galle Electric Shockers 16-7, Cocco's Pizzeria & Pub of Aston 5-6>>
Wayne Anderson and Todd Abbott went 3-for-3 in the opener, and Rob Manton clubbed a three-run homer to trigger the mercy rule.
The second game wouldn't be so straightforward. Cocco's baked up a one-run lead in the seventh. Brad Yori (3for-4 in first game) led off the seventh with a double, Terrance Heller followed with a two-bagger and both scored on an error to clinch the title. Scott Abdo added a three-run triple.

In the E Division championship:
Milmont Republican Club 19-8-16, Phireballs/QTPSTYLE.com 16-12-6 >>
MRC eked out a win in the opener thanks to three hits and six RBIs from Matt Bayes. Anthony Stango was 3-for-3 with a homer, and Darren D'Ambrosio doubled three times.
Phireballs recovered to push the series to the distance, but they ran out of steam in a 10-run finale, Zach Williams' base hit (his third) scoring Steve Gifford to trigger the mercy rule. Gifford was 4-for-5 with three doubles and five RBIs. Joe Callahan went 4-for-4 with a pair of homers.

In the Rec Division championships:
Sawloon 16-15, J.D. McGillicuddy's Kirklyn II 3-3 >>
The Sawloon bats and Eric Jackson's arm made it a quick day on the way to Sawloon's first championship.
A.J. Cetroni and manager Tim Ryan went 6-for-8 with five runs in the double dip. Brian Quinlan contributed five hits and three runs.

Steve Sakers was 7-for-8 at the dish and pitched both ends of the best-of-3 sweep. Mike Ianieri and Sean Ryan doubled three times each in Game 1. Mark Alberston was 3-for-3 with a three-run homer in Game 2. Mike Buccella tripled twice.
