Joe Organek has stepped down after serving for 14 years as the USA Softball of PA's District 6 commissioner. He has been a member of that organization's staff for 22 years.
Organek remains commissioner of the Millennium Sunday Softball League and says he "will always be available to help with charity tournaments."
"With the title of District 6 commissioner emeritus I still have duties to promote USA Softball of PA both in District 6 and the state," added Organek, who stays on as a member of USA Softball of PA's Board of Directors.
Anthony SanFilippo, former Daily Times sports writer and a veteran player/coach in the Millennium Sunday Softball League, has been named as the new District 6 commissioner.
