With President Trump extending the federal social distancing guidelines to April 30th - the Millennium Sunday Softball League will now delay the start of its season to a new target date of May 17th.
This date may be changed again to May 31st (Sunday after Memorial Day Weekend) depending if social distancing is extended into the month of June.
These dates should be considered a placeholder and are contingent that the league fields are reopened.
With No Games Scheduled on Easter Sunday, Mothers Day and Memorial Day Weekend the league can recover from a slightly shortened season (see below).
May 17th - 8 week season (16 games) with prize money distributed to qualified playoff teams.
May 31st - 7 week season (14 games) which is the same number of games played in Millennium Sunday Fall League.
Note: Under this regular season schedule teams who play in the Millennium Sunday Fall Ball will receive a credit towards their league fees.
Teams who do not participate in Millennium Sunday Fall Ball will receive a prorated refund of their league fees.
All of this could change if the number of playoff teams are increased at the end of the regular season schedule.
♦
The rescheduling of the Millennium/Bats Plus Early Bird Tournament and the Millennium Sunday final league meeting will not be posted until the league has a definite start date.
The District 6 state qualifiers in Kennett Square and the USA Softball of Pennsylvania state championships still remain scheduled to take place on their original dates.
