Daily Times: Millennium Sunday Roundup - Leiberman, Rooney, Fitzgerald pace the Deer slayers

Jeff Leiberman, Matt Rooney and Mike Fitzgerald put up some big numbers as J.T Brewski's Deer down J.D. McGillicuddy's Brookline twice in the Millennium Sunday League, 18-8 and 23-9.

Leiberman launched a homer, a double and drove in seven runs. Rooney ripped six two-baggers and scored six times. Fitzgerald was 8-for-9 on the day.

Stephen's on State 18-4, Precision Chimney & Masonry 13-12 >> Stephen's scored seven runs with two outs in the bottom of the fifth inning in the opener to take the lead.

Will Simon (4-for-5, double, three RBIs), Anthony SanFilippo Jr. (2-for-4, double, three RBIs) and Jim Toy (three hits, RBI) showed the way.

Cody DiAmicos (3-for-3, two doubles) and Brian Kucharick (3-for-3, two-run HR) helped Precision gain a split.

Marty Magee's Knights 7-30, Ball Hogz 6-1 >> Christian DiGalbo flexed his muscles in the nightcap with two three-run dingers and 10 RBIs.

Every player in the lineup had three hits as the Knights scored all of their runs in the first two innings.

Nick Franchi drove in Jimmy Calabrese in the eighth inning with the winning run in the opener. Mark Despeaix added two hits.
