Daily Times Millennium Sunday Roundup - Behmke caps playoff sweep with shutout
Eric Nardelli was perfect at the plate and John Kearney tossed a shutout in the nightcap as Behmke Construction swept Ball Hogz, 11-1 and 16-0, in the first round of the Millennium Sunday League B Division playoffs.
Nardelli was 3-for-3 in the opener and 4-for-4 in the nightcap. Billy Schailey also went 3-for-3 in Game 1, while Ernie Manna slugged a grand slam. In Game 2, Kearney only needed five innings to get his second win and shutout thanks to a mercy-rule win in Game 2. Tommy Nardelli and Dave Bush both went 3-for-4 to pace the offense.

Upland A.C. 14-25, Hunt's Raiders 7-4 >> Ron Billick got the win in the opener and Mark Atkins claimed the victory in the nightcap as Upland swept it's A Division quarterfinals series and set up a rematch with top-seeded Stephen's on State in the semifinals.
