Here's a roundup of the 2023 USA Softball of PA District 6 staff meeting that was held January 21st in West Chester.

The meeting which began at 10:00 a.m. had 13 of the 17 District 6 staff members attend, reflecting the dedication and camaraderie of a staff that includes both veteran and new members that had led to District 6 being #1 in Adult Team Registrations for 10 consecutive years prior to District 6 (Chester and Delaware Counties) being separated into two districts.

The meeting brought everyone up to speed with both the upcoming goals of District 6 along with any information pertinent to USA Softball of PA for the 2023 season.

District 6 & State Deputy Umpire-In-Chief, Sonny Pompilli went over the 2023 rule changes and answered any questions.

It was announced that Deputy Commissioner - Fast Pitch, Steve DiFuria would be the recipient of the Dick Millhouse Award that is presented annually to an umpire in USA/ASA Softball of PA who distinguishes themselves by their dedication and at the same time exhibiting a high quality of umpiring over many years that may not be recognized by our association.

It was also announced that Marty Magee's Canes from District 6 and the Millennium Sunday Softball League who won the USA Softball Men's Class "E" Slow Pitch National Championship that was held in Salem, Virginia over the Labor Day Weekend would be honored at the 2023 USA/ASA Hall of Fame Awards Banquet which will be held on the evening of Saturday, March 4th at the Holiday Inn-Hershey.

The District 6 staff was treated to lunch that was served around noon that Let's Roll put out that included an Italian & Turkey Hoagie Tray and especially the Philly Cheesesteak and Loaded Potato Egg Rolls (which I would highly recommend to anyone and which were devoured by the staff very quickly).
