All Millennium Sunday teams are being asked to please help with field preparations for tomorrow's games after the rain we will be receiving later today and overnight - whether or not your team is scheduled as a home or away team.
If your team does not help with preparing the fields to play on and the games cannot be played - it will be noted along with the possibility of forfeit.
The cooperation of all the teams will help with getting the games started on time.
The only chance the league has sometimes of getting games played after rain, is if every team gets to their field early enough to work on them and let me know ASAP by email at millpres2000@verizon.net of the field conditions - in case I need to move games to another field.
Please remember to bring push brooms, squeegees and rakes to the fields.
★
NOTE: If the league gets rained out tomorrow and with no more postponements (unlikely) the regular season schedule will end on June 28th and with the playoffs beginning the Sunday after the July 4th weekend on July 12th and with a chance they go into August.
That is why it is so important that I get reports from teams on their field conditions and even photos of the fields no later then 8:00 a.m. - so I have time to contact the umpires.
If the league has three (3) doubleheaders tomorrow that are not able to be played because of the lack of cooperation of teams with getting their fields ready - then those doubleheaders will be scheduled on Mother's Day (May 10th) with early start times beginning at 9:00 a.m.
Side Note: If there are more than three (3) doubleheader that can't be played, then the entire league will be postponed.
The goal is for everyone to do their best with everything mentioned above in the hopes that 75% of the league doubleheaders get played.
Here's the link to The Weather Channel's website which the league uses to help with deciding whether or not to play or postpone games: https://weather.com/
Thanks.
