Ever since the new Dynasty has formed, their goal has been to create suffering and confusion for their former friend and reigning AWA Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion, Ric Converse. The jealously over Converse's popularity caused Joey Silvia, Trent Wylde, and "Simply" Steve Greene to all turn on their friend and attack him unmercilessly in the ring and on the mic. Just two weeks ago the new Dynasty scored a huge win over the trios team of Converse, Xsiris & Jesse Ortega. However it was clouded in controvery with regards to Xsiris hitting Converse with a chain. Xsiris scheduled an interview to prove to Converse the next week in Burlington, but phoned in that he was running late out of another scheduled event in Virginia and wouldn't be there in time. This of course brought out the Dynasty again to announce that Xsiris was with them and he didn't have to explain anything to Converse. But where does Xsiris stand? Is he really with the Dynasty or are they simply fueling the mistrust that exists. Commissioner Cross declared to Ric Converse that it's all a ploy by the Dynasty and to give Xsiris the chance to prove himself in a Team Series. This week things will finally come to a head in a series of singles bouts as Team Converse battles Team Dynasty in a best of three series. The winning team will be able to control the destiny of the next Mid-Atlantic Hwt. Title defense by Ric Converse. Should Team Dynasty win the best of three, they will select the challenger to face Ric Converse on May 20th with the championship on the line. If Team Converse wins this weekend, Ric Converse will get to select his own opponent on May 20th in Burlington. Xsiris will face Joey Silvia in the first of the three bouts. The second series match will see Jesse Ortega take on Trent Wylde. In the final of the team series, Ric Converse squares off against "Simply" Steve Greene. Converse was emphatic about his single match against former friend, Greene. "Finally, finally, Scuba Steve is going to face me one-on-one in the ring. But a regular match just isn't going to settle things with me. I don't want this match ending any other way than with a 1-2-3. To make sure of this, the main event this Saturday night will be a Street Fight Match!" It is sure to be a wild, long awaited brawl between these former roommates. Also slated for this Saturday night will be the kickoff of the 3rd Annual Johnny Weaver Cup Tournament. Greensboro was a city that Johnny Weaver made a lasting impression in. To honor his great success in Greensboro, it was decided this would be the perfect place to begin this year's tournament. The annual summer long tournament is sure to provide a wealth of tremendous matchups. But the first match of the first round will turn the heads of any fan of hard hitting wrestling action as Pro Wrestling Guerrilla's Davey Richards will take on "Mr. Elite" Jake Manning! The Johnny Weaver Cup has certainly garished a lot of attention as Richards comes in from California and Manning a standout in the mid-west. This could easily have been the finals, but the luck of the draw for the pairings has given Greensboro fans an absolutely incredible launch for this year's Weaver Cup. You'll see all this plus so much more including the AWA Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champions Garry "Madd Trucker" Stevens & "A Very Handsome Man" Mitch Connor with their new valet Kiya Moka, AWA Mid-Atlantic Television Champion Rob "Boogie Woogie Man" McBride, Tank Lawson, Brass Munkey, Roy Wilkins, Cham Pain and his personal assistant Ashley Walker, Michael McAllister, and so many more!! Also remember tickets for TNA Wrestling in Greensboro will be available this Saturday night at the AC Fitness Gym! CWF Mid-Atlantic's Amber O'Neal will be in action on this huge event! CWF Mid-Atlantic's "Summer Action Series" kicks off June 10th following TNA Wrestling on May 27th, including more of the 3rd Annual Johnny Weaver Cup Tournament matchups, AWA World Light Heavyweight Champion "Krazy K" Kirby Mack defending his title, and so much more! Don't you dare miss it!!! Link: www.indyinsiders.com www.IndyInsiders.Com
