It's taken one of the longest breaks in recent memory for CWF Mid-Atlantic action to try and calm down from the mayhem that happened last month as Ty Dillinger's Destiny group attempted to hijack the AWA Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Titles and in the process attacked both Commissioner Cross and newly appointed Assistant Commissioner Daniel Gibson. Both had to be helped from the arena with Cross sporting a huge "goose egg" on his forehead at the hands of "The Elite Enforcer" Jake Manning. Commissioner Cross has since issued out fines from that weekend. Jake Manning and Jesse Ortega both were fined $100 for inappropriate language directed towards ringside fans. Jake Manning and Joey Silvia were also fined and additional $500 for their attacks on the CWF Mid-Atlantic management. Cross informed us that Ty Dillinger would not be fined for his actions because "I intend to settle our difference man-to-man." Cross continued, "This Saturday night Ty Dillinger is going to find out that he cannot do anything he wants to. I'm tired of his constant interference and the controversy he creates every time he enters the building." It seems clear that a showdown between Cross and Dillinger is only days away and something the fans are sure to be happy to witness. "It won't be the first time I've thrown Dillinger out of my building, but it will be the last," the Commissioner concluded. While Ty Dillinger is going to have to worry just what Commissioner Cross has planned for him, he's also going to have to worry about his two champions defending their titles this Saturday as well. AWA Mid-Atlantic Television Champion "Simply" Steve Greene will make his first title defense against former champion, Brass Munkey. Munkey scored a huge win in a 4-way challenge to earn the return bout. Greene's manager stated, "Munkey has no business getting a title shot at Steve Greene. This is just more of the favoritism shown by Cross. Well let me make myself clear, I'm the manager of champions and I will dictate who and when my champions wrestle. Munkey you better be prepared for the beating of your life because this will be the last time I ever let you get another shot at Steve Greene's championship" While Greene is set to defend against Brass Munkey, AWA Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion Joey Silvia's challenger has not been revealed. "Not only is this going to be another clean sweep night for Destiny, as Steve will defeat Munkey, and Jake Manning will knock out another sucker this week, but the champ came to me and said he was feeling generous this week. You see Joey doesn't have to defend his title belt this Saturday, but we decided we would anyway." Dillinger explained. "This Saturday, the greatest Mid-Atlantic Champion of all time, Joey Silvia, will give some unworthy low-life bum the shot of a life-time in Burlington. That's right we are hand-picking an unranked challenger that has never received a shot and let's face it, never would have, if not for the generosity of Joey and myself," Ty added. "We hope whoever this bum is, he will take this opportunity to learn from the best, as he steps into the ring with the champ. And when he's beaten he should get down on his knees and kiss my shoes in appreciation," the Manager of Champions concluded. The action doesn't stop there. A special tag team challenge match is also set as the #1 challengers, Fatback Enterprises, "A Very Handsome Man" Mitch Connor & Donnie Dollars with their manager Brad Stutts, will face The Dynasty's Ric Converse & Xsiris! This first-time matchup is sure to be an exciting confrontation and one that Brad Stutts had hoped to avoid. "Everyone's talking like Fatback Enterprises should be scared that we're facing two former World Champions this Saturday. Well let me make this clear to you, they're both FORMER champions. That means they are both losers and that means they are going to lose to us too. Don't think I don't know everything there is about both of them. I used to manage them when they were actually great, remember? We're going to run through this so-called dream team and then Boogie and Tank will not be able to avoid us any longer," commented manager Brad Stutts. Also announced for this Saturday is a special Six-Man Tag Team match as the Kamakazi Kid teams up with Chris Collins and Lee Valiant to battle his nemesis, Gemini Kid, Jesse Ortega, and a mystery partner. The blood feud between Kazi and Gemini only continues to heat up as these two seem destined to end each other's career. Gemini Kid demanded his comments about this Saturday be included in our newsletter. He stated, "The Kamakazi Kid should be long gone but somehow, someway, that masked maniac survived the Loser Leave Town match with Ultra Dragon and he's still here to torment me. Kazi you may have ran a Dragon out of town, but your time is coming. One way or another, whether it's in the ring or in the parking lot, I will get rid of you forever. I am going to add your mask to my collection and I am going to be the one that finally puts you in a wheelchair. You've defied fate one too many times and this Saturday night, Chris Collins and Lee Valiant won't be enough to save your from your future!" All this plus the AWA Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champions Rob "Boogie Woogie Man" McBride & Tank Lawson, RGL Champion Roy Wilkins, "Dangerous E" Corey Edsel with manager Sheik Lumpkin, Solomon Spades, Michael McAllister, and many more!
