*** 30 Person Over the Top Rope Rumble Match!
*** Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Title: XSIRIS VS. ARIK ROYAL
*** Title versus Career: RAY KANDRACK VS. MITCH CONNOR
*** Guaranteed excitement, always one of the best events of the year!
This Saturday October 15th, it's the event that for 11 years has been THE showcase for CWF Mid-Atlantic. There are wrestling events all over the Mid-Atlantic every weekend. But there is only ONE CWF Rumble. For 11 years we have set the standard in Mid-Atlantic Wrestling and one epic night has always epitomized that more than any other. We absolutely promise this year will be no different. On Saturday October 15th there is only ONE place to be and that's the Mid-Atlantic Sportatorium for the 11th annual CWF Rumble.
MAIN EVENT - THE 11TH ANNUAL OVER THE TOP ROPE CWF RUMBLE
THE most exciting bout of the year! 2 men start, every 90 seconds another joins, eliminations can happen any time and the last man standing achieves the right to challenge for any championship of his choosing! Past winners include Xsiris, Lee Valiant, Ric Converse and Corey Edsel who all went on to become Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion. This match is a thrill ride every year where you literally never know whats about to happen next.
In addition to the ten names already announced on CWF Mid-Atlantic's Facebook and CWF Mid-Atlantic's Twitter account, we can now confirm five more names exclusive to the CWF Mid-Atlantic E-Newsletter!
Joining the field of 30 in the Rumble Match will be former RGL Champion MATT SMITH, one half of the Mid-Atlantic Tag-Team Champions ROY WILKINS, the returning EVAN BANKS, the incredibly intense JOE BLACK and Arena Chicks' own ANGEL ORSINI! That's right, one of the Arena Chicks is in the match. Women have been allowed entry into the Rumble match since the very first Rumble in 2001 but this is the first time in several years that any female competitor has requested entry. Quite possibly the toughest of all the Arena Chicks, Angel can no doubt hold her own in a fight against any of the boys and if the luck of the draw is kind to her anything could happen!
We will be announcing the rest of the 30 names all week long through our various social media outlets. Be sure to add our governing body PWI Pro on Facebook because that's where we will announce the next five names for the Rumble match on Wednesday.
Thursday we'll be back on Twitter, so make sure you are also following Pro Wrestling International at http://www.twitter.com/pwipro because that's where we will exclusively post the next 5 confirmed wrestlers.
Then Friday our friends at http://www.indyinsiders.com get the final scoop as that is where we will announce the final 5 confirmed names to make it 30 total!
While the Rumble Match is always among the most exciting, unpredictable matches of the year there is an entire HUGE card of action lined up for this enormous showcase event including three championship matches.
FOR THE MID-ATLANTIC HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
XSIRIS (C) w/ William L. Cross VS. ARIK ROYAL
Royal cashes in his 2011 Weaver Cup victory and claims his prize, a shot at the championship. Many feel he is destined to be champion. Will this be the night he finally reaches up to claim the brass ring? Xsiris has been unbeatable since capturing the title in June… except when he faced Royal in the Weaver Cup Tournament Finals. If Royal recaptures that victory he will claim the most coveted prize in the Mid-Atlantic but the calculating Xsiris has promised the longest title reign in CWF history so you've got to believe he will do anything to keep the belt. Factor in Aftermath manager William Cross at the champion's side as well as Aftermath pledges Trevor Lee and Ben Tyler willing to do anything to be inducted into the gang and all the elements are there for an all out war as champion and challenger pull out all the stops.
FOR THE MID-ATLANTIC TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP
RAY'S TITLE VS. MITCH'S CAREER WITH EXTENDED TIME LIMIT
"The Assassin" RAY KANDRACK (C) w/ Coach Gemini
VS. "Handsome" MITCH CONNOR
This is undeniably one of the most intense personal rivalries in CWF history. When the retiring Steve Greene vacated the Television Title in June, Commissioner Mitch Connor, himself having retired after suffering a stroke, ordered a series of matches to crown a new champion. Former champion Ray Kandrack was infuriated, insisting that as the last reigning champion before Greene he should have been handed the title back once Greene vacated. On September 3rd Kandrack finally crossed the line and sent Connor to the hospital after a one headbutt KO. Connor came back with fire in his eyes resigning his job as commissioner and placing himself back on the active roster. He hasn't had a match in nearly 2 years but Kandrack agreed to the put the title on the line under the condition that if Connor loses, he is gone from CWF Mid-Atlantic Wrestling in ANY capacity forever. If Connor can pull off the miracle victory, Kandrack will have to live with seeing his most hated rival carry around his championship belt. If Connor fails, it will be the last time we ever see him in a Mid-Atlantic ring. With so much on the line, the matchmaking committee has waived the typical ten minute Television Title time limit, extending the time until there is a decisive winner. The stakes do not get much higher than they are in this one. It's going to be a brutal slug fest and there MUST be a winner!
FOR THE MID-ATLANTIC TAG-TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
ROY WILKINS & WALTER EATON with Coach Gemini (C)
VS. DEVIN DALTON & BOBBY WOHLFERT
The motivated Marines have risen through the ranks since reforming their team. Both have fought in legit war zones in Afghanistan and now they have a chance to sit atop the Mid-Atlantic wrestling scene as its top tag-team IF they can defeat Coach Gemini's most finely tuned tag-team ever.
SIX MAN TAG-TEAM MATCH
TREVOR LEE, BEN TYLER & "THE 1ST" RIC CONVERSE w/ William Cross
VS. JOE BLACK, NICK RICHARDS & DONNIE DOLLAR$ w/ Brad Stutts
Lee and Tyler are pushing hard for acceptance into William L. Cross' Aftermath Apprentice program. Under the guidance of the six time Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion they have their best chance yet to impress him. But make no mistake, Cross' team will have their hands full with Fatback's Nick Richards, who almost upset Converse on October 1st, Donnie Dollar$ who is dying for payback after Ben Tyler cheated him out of a sure win on that same night and Joe Black who in his sophomore year as a pro has never looked better. This one could steal the show and on this card that's saying something!
ARENA CHICKS FOUR WAY ACTION
ANGEL ORSINI VS. SIMPLY D'VYNE VS. JANA VS. VEDA SCOTT
The CWF Rumble will host this four way women's match where the winner advances to the upcoming Arena Chicks Championship Bout. It's rookie Veda Scott, tough and capable Jana, the "Empress" Simply D'vyne and the veteran ECW original Angel in a free for all to earn a spot in the eventual championship match!
!~ NEWSFLASH EXCLUSIVE TO THE CWF E-NEWSLETTER ~!
