Our very first event of 2015 is all about fresh new stars with the opportunity to rise to the top! We will see who starts off the new year with momentum and who if anyone breaks ahead of the pack as virtually every match features either a rising young lion being tested OR a veteran wrestler whose career is at a crossroads.
For the Mid-Atlantic Television Championship:
“EL JEFE” MANNY GARCIA (c) VS. CHARLIE WESTON
After spending most of the 2014 as Rising Generation League Champion, Weston looks to move up the ranks challenging the 2-time Television Champ who just regained the title at Battlecade. Weston has an experience edge over Garcia, but Garcia has successfully established himself as a top commodity quicker. Now the pressure is on Weston to follow up a successful 2014 with a huge championship opportunity.
“THE SOUTHERN SAVIOR” JOHN SKYLER VS. CHET STERLING
The cunning and calculated Skyler is actually far more experienced than Sterling on the national and even international wrestling scene but this Saturday will be his first time stepping inside the Mid-Atlantic Sportatorium. He does so against a popular star on the rise who the Sportatorium crowd has adopted as their own.
CWF Mid-Atlantic’s past versus it’s future:
“THE 1ST” RIC CONVERSE VS. RGL Champion E.A. SHARPE
Sharpe remains an unproven commodity in the ring even after stumbling through a fluke RGL Title victory at Battlecade. Despite suffering the most devastating loss of his career at Battlecade, Converse is still the measuring stick and it's next to impossible to fluke out a win against him. We will see what Sharpe is really made of in this one.
MARCELLUS KING VS. MASON MADDOX
Maddox is a new prospect out of the RINGS Wrestling School in Charlotte, NC where he's been mentored by the likes of former Ultra J Champion Caleb Konley. He’ll have a tall order ahead of him in his CWF debut against the holder of CWF's Golden Ticket who has vowed to become champion.
Former Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion ADAM PAGE returns to the Mid-Atlantic Sportatorium almost 3 years to the day since he won the championship! This will be the first time we've seen Page since he has fallen under the influence of The Decade, a group of veteran wrestlers who feel today's young rising stars in the sport are not showing the proper respect. Will the teachings of the Decade come into play this Saturday when Page returns to the place of some of his greatest career victories?!
For the Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Championship:
BRAD ATTITUDE (c) VS. “THE LOST CAUSE” NICK RICHARDS
And in the main event, two CWF dojo graduates who are known risk takers fight it out for the richest prize in the land, the Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Championship as new champion BRAD ATTITUDE makes his first title defense against the reckless “LOST CAUSE” NICK RICHARDS. It is undoubtedly the biggest career match to date for Richards, coming off a year where he and JASON MILLER formed a championship tag-team whose momentum was derailed by Miller’s career-threatening neck injury. Now he finds himself with an opportunity to completely change the landscape of CWF Mid-Atlantic if the slacker can survive and leave as champion.
A disheveled Nick Richards, who has been teetering on the brink of insanity since losing the Mid-Atlantic Tag-Team Championship at Battlecade, sent us these words vowing to bring the fight to Attitude tomorrow night: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VebHPk63ZAU
PLUS EVAN BANKS will address the future of the KILLBILLIES after ARIC ANDREWS walked out on Battlecade XV and MUCH more! Don’t miss our very first event of 2015 tomorrow night LIVE from the Mid-Atlantic Sportatorium!
