Thanks so much. I sort of looked at it again yesterday...not your photo area...but top of the trans area. Looks like a pvc knob or something sticking out and the rubber hose looks long enough to reach it. But, me being a know-nothing, don't know what it would be for. I will see if my car is like your photo, but my hose would be too long. I think my hose is about double this one.

My trans is an automatic.
