Good news...the trunk lid works again. Tried it again last night and it worked. I guess the WD40 finally got it lubricated? After it opened I sprayed some more WD40. It worked fine for 50.5 years and then locked up. Hopefully it won't happen again for a long time. Thanks for the help. I was worried I would half to try to crawl into my trunk via the back seat.
