Yes, they work well. And as mentioned, I installed studs in place of oem style bolts. I have solid lifters (L72) and being able to pull the covers off to adjust valves and reuse the gaskets is another plus. I used all-thread to make my own studs and anchored them with thread locker, then used nylok nuts on top of the little triangle shape pieces. A key thing is not to over tighten and bend the covers out of shape.
