Unless they are pitted and twisted, They may be OK to use with new shocks. Make sure they are the same heigth also.I believe Your car has an L36 with AC. Automatic and 4 speed make a difference also. The Chevrolet chassis service manual has the ride heigth for the Impala SS, 4 1/16 +or - 1/2 inch. The tires should be G-70-15 tires or equivalent. Station wagons 4 5/8. wagon springs will raise Your front end up if desired. NICK L72
