Thanks for the info Nick. I'll give it a try tomorrow. I've been planning on getting it painted for a while,so I figured it'd have to be taken apart again. The SS emblem was gone when I got it but I keep it inside so no water gets in the holes.

I'm going to try and get the valve covers re-chromed beings they're the original ones. Know of anyone who does chrome plating?
